Experience in all the usual software, Adobe InDesign, Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word.
I have worked for large multinationals and small printers and design studios, working on everything from business cards to four colour brochures. I am quite happy to work within a team or on my own initiative, and I have excellent time management skills. I am also not afraid to make tough decisions when needed, and I am always looking at new ways of doing things and very open to new technologies. I am always learning.
One of my I specialist arrears is creating slideware mostly in PowerPoint but also in Keynote for pitches to clients and generally helping sales teams tell a compelling story of the business to a potential client.
Proficient in all areas relating to the artworking/pre-press process, I have a thorough understanding of different print processes and working within their restrictions. I am fully skilled in both Windows PC and Apple platforms.
Slideware is a subject I specialise in. I have the ability to transform hand-drawn raw content and data in a rough sketch format, or complex, noisy designs from roughly laid out slides into visually compelling finished product. More about slideware
I am competent in the artworking role and taking briefs from Graphic Designers and Art Directors. I then turn their ideas into solid professional artwork for print or digital output.
I have created many graphic projects, ranging from print projects through to posters and clothing.
I am a very keen photographer, I am currently undertaking a School of Photographic Imaging (SPI) course to improve my technique. I also contribute blog articles about photography to the SPI’s website.
