Experience in all the usual software, Adobe InDesign, Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word.
Until redundancy I was employed for 11 years in the design and print department for CSC, a very large global IT outsourcing group. I designed and produced print ready artwork for newsletters flyers and executive summaries. I also managed and created all the digital print and graphic design work for all sales and bid orientated material, this could range from deals worth a few million dollars to multi-million dollar deals.
I specialised in creating slideware mostly in PowerPoint but also in Keynote for pitches to clients and generally helping the sales team tell a compelling story of the business to potential clients.
Proficient in all areas relating to the artworking/pre-press process including graphic design, I have a thorough understanding of different print processes and working within their restrictions. I am fully skilled in both Windows PC and Apple platforms.
A hardworking, and a dedicated team player who’s also not afraid to make tough decisions. I am always looking at new ways of doing things and very open to new technologies, I am always learning.
Slideware is a subject I specialise in. I have the ability to transform hand-drawn raw content and data in a rough sketch format, or complex, noisy designs from roughly laid out slides into visually compelling finished product. More about slideware
I am competent in the artworking role and taking briefs from Graphic Designers and Art Directors. I then turn their ideas into solid professional artwork for print or digital output.
I have created many graphic projects, ranging from print projects through to posters and clothing.
I am a very keen photographer, I am currently undertaking a School of Photographic Imaging (SPI) course to improve my technique. I also contribute blog articles about photography to the SPI’s website.
